Dial-In Instructions

This site is used for live-events transcription where the conference call is only accessible via phone call. This system will handle dialing into the conference call and providing a way for our existing transcriber jobs to receive audio through the browser. Only Implied admins should have access to this page.

To get started, navigate to the calls page and enter the phone number for the conference. You may need to speak to an operator to provide basic information before entering the conference room.

You will notice that a 4-character room code is generated for you. You can use this for the listeners that will receive the call audio. Once you're dialed in, navigate to https://relay.implied.com/listen/YOURPIN. You should be able to hear the audio come through. For clearer tracking, you can also update the room code to anything you want, e.g. the ticker of the company or the name of the event.

Zoom Calls and PINs

Optionally the company presenting may provide a PIN which you can enter in; some webcasters like Zoom provide this in the form of commas, e.g.: "+16694449171,,85163299870#,,,,*746285#"; the first section is the conference phone number, the second section is the meeting ID, and the last section is the PIN. Each comma corresponds to a 2-second pause. You can input commas directly into the phone number field.

Twilio has a pause token "w" which corresponds to 0.5 seconds pause. The system will handle the conversion automatically.
